A Delicious, Healthy and Nutritious Vegan Date

vegan date night recipes

Vegan date night recipes can be the perfect way to show your man that you care about his health. There are many health benefits to being a vegetarian, and eating a varied, organic, whole foods diet is part of the solution. Eating out can really add up in the calories and fat factor, and if you have been to the movies lately you may have noticed how many times they have used cheese, bacon, or other unhealthy ingredients to create the food of the movie. That’s not what you want. Why not create a homemade meal that he will love every time? Here are some ideas:

If you have some ground bananas sitting around the house, why not make a tasty and healthy banana pepper soup? You just mix together a couple cups of water, a couple of cups of dried bananas, a handful of chopped peanuts, a little bit of vanilla and a handful of your non-dairy milk. Then throw in a few herbs such as basil and parsley and let it simmer on a half-litre of water for about an hour. Unsweetened soy milk is a great substitute for non-dairy milk.

Another one of our vegan date night recipes for Valentine’s Day is a tossed salad. This recipe is easy enough to make that you could also serve this chilled for dinner with some crackers and dip. Combine two teaspoons of dried oregano, one tablespoon of olive oil, and a quarter teaspoon of cayenne pepper flakes. Mix it all up and then add a generous helping of your favourite vegetables, such as red onions, bell peppers, peas, broccoli, and spinach. Serve with your favourite chips and dip.

One of our favourite vegan date night recipes for Valentine’s Day is one that involves a creamy, velvety pasta dish. This dish uses a chickpea spa dish and a tasty cream sauce. You’ll need a handful of raw nuts such as cashews, pecans or almonds, three types of chopped pasta (your choice), and about four cups of water. Bring your water to a boil, and stir in your pasta. Once they have softened, drain them and set aside while you gather the following ingredients.

First, prepare your chickpea spa by sauteing a few cloves of garlic and adding some balsamic vinegar. Next, chop up your veggies into thin strips and add some sea salt and pepper to them. Add your lentils and red onions and toss in a couple of tablespoons of your favourite vegan cream sauce. Stir in your tomatoes and your pasta and let everything simmer for about five minutes. At the end, add your greens and enjoy your comforting, cheesy, creamy, mouthwatering, fresh vegetarian meal!

Nutritious Vegan Diet

A quick note – there are many vegan recipes for Valentine’s Day dinner that do not include any dairy products whatsoever. If you’re planning on enjoying this meal with your partner, it might be best to omit the dairy items and substitute them for another tasty vegan recipe instead. Some of my favourite options include: vegan oatmeal chocolate cake, vegan trail mix chocolate cake, and of course, vegan cookies and brownies. I have also heard that adding a hint of vanilla extract to chocolate chips can make a delicious dessert that everyone will love.

For dessert, I usually turn to some of my all time favorite vegan recipes such as: peanut butter and banana nut Bread pudding with a cherry tomato sauce, vegan chocolate chip cookie, and of course, pomegranate crumble bars. These vegan date night treats are so comforting and tasty that they deserve a place in any diet! The pomegranate crumble bars are especially good served at room temperature so feel free to take one home and refrigerate until needed later. These vegan crumb cake and cookie bars are definitely a welcome addition to any vegan diet.

With dessert being the focus for this vegan date night, you’ll want to have plenty of healthy options to choose from. For starters, you could make a delicious dessert by combining fresh strawberries with an apple topping. Another cool and delicious dessert idea is to make a chocolate peanut butter pie – just be sure to use organic ingredients and don’t forget the maple. Or perhaps you could go with some hearty pasta and bean soup for dinner – the choice is up to you. The point is that you should enjoy a hearty and healthy dinner and a dessert that won’t break your diet.
