I love that the Epicurious app contains shopping lists for all the recipes. I have tried several vegan cookbooks that don’t include shopping lists and often times I end up munching through the pages of the cookbook because it has such delicious recipes. I also like how easy the app is to open and use. There are separate sections for recipes that are specific to vegetarian or vegan diets. This makes it very convenient for my diet when I’m planning meals for entertaining. It even includes a shopping list for gluten-free products so that I know what to buy.
One feature that the Epicurious app has that other apps do not have is an advanced searching tool. This means that I can search throughout the entire database without having to sort through each and every dish. It can search by calories, keywords, ingredients, or dietary restrictions. The search can be done by name, ingredients, region, or any combination of those three criteria. The search can even be performed by date, time, genre, star rating, number of reviews, and more.
As impressive as the search and meal planning tools are the best part of the app is probably the shopping list that comes with every recipe. That’s right – the Epicurean Caveman Cookbook comes with a full individual shopping list for you to choose from. So instead of hunting through hundreds of recipes, you can easily and quickly find one that suits your needs. The shopping list comes with different categories so it makes it very easy to switch from one category to another as necessary. It’s a must-have for me if you plan on cooking at home because it makes it much easier and faster to shop!
